Lilly in Wallace writes to us now, she says her weep holes are covered up, Tom.
Tom:

Charlie:
What can I do to fix this? We should have some like, can you get some-, oh there you go, I want some soap opera music under us. Go ahead, Tom, tell Lilly what can she do?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom:
Ahhh…Let’s see here, if they have been blocked off for many, many years, a decade or two, don’t do anything. Obviously if there’s no inherent problem, don’t worry about them at this point.
Charlie:
So what you’re saying is …
Tom:
If somebody did this last week then maybe you can just chip out some stuff, but quite frankly if they were never there don’t worry about putting them in now.
Charlie:
This is a case where if it’s broke, don’t fix it?
Tom:
Yeah, it really is and sometimes they didn’t put them in, but if you don’t have any real problems and you’ve got a good tight brick job, then it’s going to be all right.
Charlie:
Okay, so if it was done that way originally, leave it be?
Tom:
I would, yes.
Charlie:
All right.
