Charlie:
Nancy over in Southwest says she has a house over there in Willowbend, and she’s doing some renovations. It has all the original 1950s tile in it. The kitchen sink, and the tub, and all that are gone. She wants to know who we’d recommend for doing that kind of work, but also she wants your recommendation on her wood floor. Should she repair, or refinish it, or replace it?

Tom:
I don’t know. If I can be refinished, I’d refinish it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Those old wood floors have character to them when you refinish them, and they can look quite nice. I would look into refinishing before I would replace.
