Charlie: Patricia in Dayton says, “We want power to choose but when I went there I found out I’m not on a regulated electricity line.” What does that mean, and does she have any options?
Tom: There are many parts of the state that are not in a deregulated area, so whoever you buy your power from that’s all you get.
Charlie: I believe in Dayton it’s Entergy.
Tom: It could be.
Charlie: Yeah, and so she’s stuck.
Tom: A lot of people didn’t want this deregulation. A lot of people were looking for it. I liked it. I knew it would take time to come through, but we’re really taking advantage of it now, but there’s still areas where it just didn’t happen and I don’t know if it ever will. I don’t know what’s going to happen.
