Charlie:
Danny in Deer Park sent in, Tom, he says, the east bank of electricity in his home went out. Okay, he was in the dark on one side of his house, he says, but he went to his panel and no breakers are out. What on earth do you think it could be?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom:
Two things I think it could be. One is a bad breaker that is …
Charlie:
A bad breaker.
Tom:
A bad breaker, and they do go bad, and you think they’re reset and they’re not.
Charlie:
Sneaky breaker.
Tom:
Okay, and the other thing that has happened to me personally is a plug on that run has gone bad and everything down-line from it has no power. One of those two things I suspect, short of a raccoon or squirrel family living in the attic chewed through a wire, which actually can happen, but that would be more of a rare case.
Charlie:
Go look for a lit up squirrel.
Tom:
Yeah, exactly. If you smell barbecue in the attic, okay, that was it.
Charlie:
Call your all your friends from Arkansas.
Tom:
Yeah, I really think it’s going to be a bad plug. I think that would be the most common thing or a bad breaker.
