Weeds are everywhere: in your garden, in your yard, in your brain. As soon as you try to remove them, they grow right back. Weeds drive you so crazy, you’re tempted to just give up. What if it’s all in the method? Mary Cummings from RCW Nurseries knows a thing or two about keeping her garden free of crab grass and ragweed. Watch as she gives us the QuickTip on pulling weeds the right way.
Step one is identify your weeds. You want to know what you’re pulling and not be pulling the good plants you want to save. Step two is to remove the weed completely and dispose of it properly. Don’t throw it back in the yard because it will just spread. Try not to disturb any seed heads that have already developed, because then they’re just dropping seeds back in the flowerbed.

You want to apply a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent any more weed seeds from coming up.
