Podcast: Play in new window

Tom:
If you have an AC you can put Freon in any of them. You have to have the right Freon. I’m not sure what kind it uses. Any refrigeration whether it’s a refrigerator, freezer, a wall unit, they all can be charged.

Charlie:
That would be an Absolutel Comfort Air kind of thing though, right?

Tom:
Yes. Some air conditioning contractor will do it. You always can add Freon to any kind of refrigeration system.

Charlie:
You can put Freon in anything.

Tom:
Is it worth it in some cases? I don’t know because if you’re losing it, you’ve got a problem.

Charlie:
It’s a closed system.

Tom:
That’s right. It should never leak Freon. If it’s leaking Freon or losing it, then there’s an issue there that’s the big issue.

Charlie:
Got it.
