Best foundation repair system?

Do you recommend bell bottom pier foundation repairs or pressed piling foundation repairs?

Podcast: Play in new window

Tom: Bell Bottom Piers are used to new construction when necessary. They’re also used on sloping sites which doesn’t really happen in Houston for repair work or for showing stuff up.
Charlie: We don’t have a lot of those things.
Tom: No. Sometimes bridges and stuff. You get in some real odd stuff. They’ll used them but as far as a typical slab in Houston, the press filings, you test the soil. You don’t remove any of the soil. It tests the soil to the load, the point load they call it. It’s by far a much better way to go.
