Tom, what is your recommendation for tankless water heaters for in-home use?
Mike
Tom: I recommend them highly. I think that all new homes, that’s a good way to go. I’d like to see us go with a combination with a solar water heater too, but that maybe will be in the future but yes ‘On Demand Water Heaters’, I think, are definitely the new way to go. Tanked water heaters, I think, will probably have a very short lived future.
Charlie: It’s got to be like air conditioning and anything else. It’s the installation of it too. I mean if he’s going to be adding it …
Tom: Well, of course.
Charlie: I think that’s why you go to somebody like Abacus to have that done right.
Tom: If you take a really good air conditioner and don’t install it or it doesn’t work, then you might as well not have an air conditioner. You can’t blame the air conditioner.
Charlie: No. The point I was getting to is that he may want to have Abacus come talk to him about it so they will put it in right.
Tom: If you’re doing a retrofit, you definitely want someone with a lot of experience. If you’re doing a new home, it’s not really that difficult when the plumber gets to plan from day one.
