Zoning AC vs. two units

In an existing 2 story house, would you recommend a zoning AC system or just waiting until it needs replacing and replacing it with 2 units?

Joan

Tom’s Answer:

Your browser does not support the audio element.

Tom: If it’s possible to use two units, I like that idea a lot better. Can you zone it? Sure you can and in some cases in an existing home it’s going to be easier and cheaper to zone it than it is to do 2 units. That’s really going to be between you and your contractor. If I had my druthers, 2 would be the way I’d go.
