Do you recommend tankless water heaters over the conventional tank natural gas models & why? What are good brands of tankless.
Steve
Tom: I think everybody needs hot water, so they all are going to work.
Charlie: Amen to that.
Tom: You get into pricing. You get into how much you need or don’t use it. Let’s say a tankless. If you go away a lot, you might as well use a tankless, because you won’t have to keep water hot while you’re gone. Or the other spectrum, if you have such a great need, it’s endless. You can get all the hot water you want and never run out. If it’s just normal usage and it’s a regular home and you already have a tank and you’re just replacing it, the most economical thing to do is just replace it with another gas water heater. If you’re building a new home, I highly recommend going to natural gas, if you have it, on demand, because that’s really the big trend right now, and you can [plumb 00:00:37] for it, zone for it, and really get the most out of it.
