Charlie: Jim in Willowbrook says that his son wants to be an electrician.
Tom: Cool. If I had to do it over again, Charlie, I would have been an electrician.
Charlie: Really?
Tom: Yes. If I was going to be in the construction trades and not in radio.
Charlie: Right, right.
Tom: I still want to be in radio. A radio electrician guy. Electricians, they all have a little bit of tools on their belts.
Charlie: They got cool stuff.
Tom: They’re always dressed real neat, and they get to work inside for the most part. They’re just prima donnas. I love being a prima donna.
Charlie: Now that we have opined about all this, what’s your advise to Jim?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: He’s going to have to get trained. He’s going to have to get registered with the state. If he really is serious, come see me at Houston Community College. We will put him in our electrical training program.
Charlie: Is there a website?
Tom: I would tell him to call me at my office or one of my people.
Charlie: All right. You got a number?
Tom: 713-718-8932. We’ll take care of him. We’ll hold his hand to get him through the whole process.
