Charlie: Sean in Seabrooke has our first question, Tom. He says, “I have a repetitive problem with the inside part of my toilet seat lid being damp.” He says it’s not because of bad aim, it’s not because somebody’s using it-
Tom: No.
Charlie: He’ll wipe it off, go away, come back and it’s damp again.
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: Okay, well if it’s when he’s closing it, I have a feeling that it’s creating a lot of humidity up inside of it. And the toilet seat is very cold because the air conditioner and the water in the toilet might be crossing over a little warm, and if that’s the case, and I’ve seen toilet tanks, on the backside, you know, the tank, not the bowl, but the tank, sweat like beer can. So, I would have him check the temperature of the water in any way and fashion he wants to. And, of course, maybe just leave the seat open if it’s just he keeps his house very cold. But I have a feeling it has something to do with the temperature of the water going into the toilet and the fact that he is closing the lid and the air is not getting around it and it’s just sweating it would if it was a carport or something like that on the outside of the house.
