Tom: “It depends what kind of ducts they are. If they’re flex ducts, you have to replace them. And that’s usually what most people have. If they’re duct board, you have to replace it. If it’s a metal duct, you can probably have come people come in and do some fumigation inside those ducts and kill that smell. But I tell you what it probably is, not the ducts. Unless he’s already done this, it’s the evaporator coil. That you would replace, and then get a new one, and it’d probably help tremendously.
Charlie: “It doesn’t hang up in the ducts as much as the coil?
Tom: “No, the coil will turn just nasty, ’cause everything goes into the coil first, and it’s like a radiator in a car. It’s got those real thin little fins, and it just catches everything. And nicotine will stick right to it. Kind of yellow and brown-
