Charlie: James in Spring, he says they’re responding to a roof leak, Tom, and they had to cut an entryway from the ceiling in the upstairs hallway to gain access to the attic. It must have one of those real narrow spaces there, right? In that section of the house anyway. They were surprised to find no insulation in the attic over the two upstairs bedrooms in the hallway. Now they fixed the leak and they’re wondering what would you recommend for getting insulation into that kind of small space.

Tom: Just get your formaldehyde-free fiber glass. As you’re putting the place back together, if you have access, you can blow it in certain areas and do the best you can. But somebody just ignored it and put it all together and thought nobody will notice but that’s not a good thing. You probably should have it insulated and you’re just going to have to work at the best you can. It’s usually just nothing more than a little sheetrock work when you’re done just to get access to the different areas.
