I live in a townhome and we are in the process of hiring a roofing company to install a new roof.
Our current shingle roof was installed in 1993. At that time the shingle roof and the cedar shake roof that was underneath it were removed and the decking was replaced. Is it necessary to replace the plywood deck at this time assuming that it still structurally sound? Do you know what the industry standard is?
