Charlie: Here’s one from Reed in Northwest. Tom, he says, “I just listened to your show and I need some clarification. I have a five-inch thick media filter in the attic plenum for the AC. Do I still need that 1x20x30 filter in the air return in my hallway?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: No you do not. And if you restrict the airflow in an air conditioning system, it can cause more problems than good, so let it flow, let the air go through, and be comfortable with the fact that you have the best filter system on the market, and that of course is that four to five-inch. Charlie: We have four. We have four.
Tom: 14.
Charlie: No, hang on, three. I’m sorry, three.
Tom: Oh, 13.
Charlie: Four kids … yeah that’s right. We have four pets with two legs and three pets with four legs. That’s what it is.
Tom: And they run the house all they want.
Charlie: Oh yeah.
Tom: They just run all over.
Charlie: Right.
Tom: But, yeah. No, the dogs are something else. And you have the furry dogs and the non-furry dogs. So I guess that could be, in Rick’s case, he saw your 13 dogs-
Charlie: Shut up.
Tom: … and he said, “Yeah, you better put one of those-
