During the last rain, numerous items on my daughter’s messy closet floor got damp.
The rug was less damp than the items. That told me it was probably coming from the roof. Ideal roofing did some repair work there. I think that roof has been leaking slowly for a while. I noticed a leak line on another part of that closet ceiling about 3 years ago, but unfortunately, I just sprayed clorox on it and painted over it. Since she often keeps her closet open the smell has never been real noticeable, but now that this new incident happened, I closed the closet and now notice that when it’s opened, it really smells moldy.
Can I just have someone like Rudy’s tear out all the sheet rock, spray bleach, and repair/paint the closet, or do we have to hire a major company that does mold evaluation/extermination (or whatever it’s called!), etc.?
