What criteria should I use when trying to select a electrical provide on the website powertochoose.org?
Gary
Tom’s Answer:
Tom: You go to powertochoose.org. They’re going to say “View All” or “View Select.” First off, they’ll want your zip code, excuse me. Then they’ll say “View All” or “View Select.” Just say “View Select,” and they’re going to ask you three questions. One will be what kind of rate you want. There’s variable rates, there’s fixed rates, and different things. Go to “Fixed Rate.” Secondly, they’re going to want the number of months you want to sign a contract for.
Charlie: The term of the agreement.
Tom: That’s right, term of the agreement, 4 to 12 months, is what you do. Then …
Charlie: How much power you use.
Tom: That’s right, how much power you use. You have 500 … thank you, because you did the video (laughing) … You probably know as much-
Charlie: [crosstalk 00:00:41] things I’m qualified in.
Tom: I haven’t done this in four months. I have to do it again, so I’m glad you’re refreshing my mind.
Charlie: Maybe you could come do mine. (laughing)
Tom: Anyway, it’s going to be either 500, 1,000, or 2,000 kilowatts average usage per month. Mine’s 2,000. The more you use, the less you pay, of course. Put that in … you’ll find that on your existing bill … and your choices will come up.
