Charlie: That’s what Giuerrmo did up in Attascosita ..he says he wants to clean the grout on his tile Tom, and he wants to know what you recommend he use as supplies on that, and how should he do it?
Tom: One thing you don’t want to do is clean it with a real harsh product because it actually takes the dye out of the grout. There are a lot of acid base, and most of them are going to be acid based that you use for grout. Uh, grout cleaners, and I would tell him to get one off the shelf. You can get em anywhere from Wal-Mart to Bed Bath and Beyond, to Home Depot.
Charlie: Or you could go to Berings and get a real fancy one.
Tom: You could go to Berings….you could probably go to a lot of different places. But the most successful way, and we’ve done a video on it, Charlie, if it’s really bad, is that steam cleaning. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t do it yourself unless you have a steam cleaner, but Robert, over at Done Right Carpet and Tile, we’ve seen him do some amazing stuff so…try the grout cleaners that are on the shelf, and they will be specifically for grout, and if that doesn’t work, then, if you’re real serious about it, call one of those guys in like Robert with that machine then. That stuff really does a good job.
