Charlie: Burt from Northwest sends us our first question. He says he wants to thank you. How wrote us a couple weeks ago. Remember he was gonna fill that sunken living room and he wanted to know about putting the tar down or whatever, right?
Tom: Oh yeah! Yeah.
Charlie: Well, he’s got that and he’s poured the concrete and he’s a happy camper, but he says, “My question now is how long do I wait before I can have the carpet installed on that concrete floor?”
Tom: Well, probably three days would be minimum. That’s fine. It’s not a structural issue. When people pour a slab that’s a structural slab, they usually want to wait seven days. That gets to be about 75% of its strength and you can go ahead and start building the project on top of it.
Three days is minimum, so as long as it’s three days it should be cured enough and the moisture should have escaped to where you’re not going to have problems. So I saw go for it, because I know it’s been more than three days.
Charlie: I was going to say, by the time
Tom: By the time he gets this, it’ll be a week.
Charliie: All right. Get busy.
Tom: Yeah! That’s going to be my reply to him.Charlie: Put the house back together.
