Charlie: Barbie in Pecan Grove says, “What’s the best product to use for shower mold removal?” I remember you discussing this after Harvey, but I can’t remember what you said to use?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: For just cleaning?
Charlie: Yeah.
Tom: Well, one of the easiest things if you’re just going to clean your shower, is just a little bit of bleach and water. I think that’s probably the most mildest thing you can do, but remember this with bleach, you don’t want to do use it straight because it’ll burn the grout. You want to mix a cup to a gallon of warm water. If you just put it on, don’t scrub, scrub, scrub, let the … If it’s mildew or mold on the shower, let the bleach sit on there and kill it. So keep it wet. Put it on with a sponge and walk away and maybe do it a couple of times, because that water keeps it wet, so it allows the bleach to do the killing. Then you can come back and if you want to wash it with any of the products on the market just to get the bleach off there and just get it clean you can do that with Fantastic or anything else you want.
