Should Austin Stone be sealed? Is there a mildew preventive chemical that can be added to a sealant or applied later?

Tom: No that’s going grow. If it gets dirt on there and it doesn’t have direct sunlight it’s going to grow mildew. It’s going to have moss growing on it. That’s stone you have to wash it every year; do your spring cleaning. It you want to put a sealer on there to give it that wet look it will last a little while. I don’t know if I would spend the money year after year redoing it, because it’s not going to last that long. Really with stone when you buy it, it’s what you buy and it’s supposed to naturally age the way it’s supposed to. That’s why people like stone. It’s looks like stone.
Charlie: So don’t seal it.
Tom: No I wouldn’t.
Charlie: All right.
