Sealing an inside door

My home is 10 years old and the door to the master bedroom is connected to the main living area. When this door is closed and there is a light on in the living area, there is a good amount of light seeping in through the door frame.
Any suggestion for sealing this?

Mike

Tom: Well, interior doors are not tight like exterior doors are so, if you really don’t want to just turn the light off, which is the smart guys, wise guy answer to this and there might be a reason that you leave it on. This is something else I want to just point out before I give you the answer which is real fast is, watch where you put your doors. I’m always amazed at some really beautiful homes and then the master bedroom walks right into the living room. You need to have some kind of transition there if you’re ever going to do a custom home. That’s just a little architect advice. As far as that goes, you can go to Door Clearance Center and buy a door that probably will look like what he has, but it’ll be hung in an exterior frame with all of the weather stripping in them. It’ll have a threshold too but it’ll seal up like an exterior door but hopefully look like an interior door and that would be the answer.
Charlie: Is there any reason he can’t just put that on?
Tom: To have someone weather strip it?
Charlie: Yeah.
Tom: Maybe, it depends what kind of door he has. I’d have to see it especially across the bottom.
