Charlie: Luann in Indianapolis says, “I have a garage, 24 by 24. The roof is sagging. What kind of contractor would I call for that. Is it a roofer or framer, or who do I call?”
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: Indianapolis?
Charlie: Indiana. You heard of it?
Tom: Yeah, the Colts are in town today.
Charlie:Well, maybe she ….
Tom: It’s right here on this piece of paper.
Charlie: Yeah, I missed that. Well, I’m all about the football.
Tom: Yeah, okay. Actually, I didn’t even hear the question. When you said that, I was thinking about the Colts. Say it again, real quick.
Charlie: She’s got a sagging 24 x 24 roof. What kind of contractor does she get? Is that a framer or roofer?
Tom: Depends how bad the sagging is, but usually if a roofer is going to put a new roof on, I don’t know, you can use them. If you’re not going to put a new roof on, then you might want to get a framer to come out and take a look at it and see what the problem is, and why it’s sagging. Without any kind of picture or anything, I really don’t know much more about it. If it’s super sagging, then there might be an engineer and some other issues you have going on, too.
