Our hot water doesn’t last for long. What can you tell me about hot water boosters?

Tom: If the water heater is old, and it’s not giving you your recovery rate, then it’s time to just buy a new water heater.
Charlie: I’m just saying, you get older, your recovery rate goes down a little, even for water heaters. Go ahead.
Tom: When people say, “How do you know your water heater’s bad?” One, is it’s leaking, the other is it explodes and you have water everywhere, but, the most common is your recovery rate on an old water heater.
Charlie: Oh boy. Guys get really…
Tom: It doesn’t recover quick, so you want to buy a new one. I’m not even listening to you. That’s what I would like you to look at if it’s not giving you the hot water you want, and if there’s a reason, and it’s just old, get a new one. If it can be fixed, fine, but, putting a booster on, which you can, and they make a lot of them, is probably not the answer to your problems in this particular situation.
