Pier and Beam Tile Floor

Our home is on pier and beams. We installed a ceramic tile floor in our bathroom, which we have since learned is not such a good idea.

(Not sure why flooring contractor did not know this) At time of installation, and first hint of trouble, my husband went under the house and reinforced the floor with 2×4’s every 20 inches. The grout is constantly cracking and falling out. My husband has tried fixing these areas with flexible grout, but this has not worked either. Is there anything else to be done?

Jo
