Can Pex be used for the run from the water meter to the home entrance? How would you protect the pipe from UV for last two feet where it comes out of the ground?

Tom: There’s tons of Pex products out there.
Charlie: There’s tons.
Tom: There’s a lot of Pex products out there. Some are commercial grade. Some are made for outside. Some are made for inside. If you use the right products, the answer is yes. Usually in a home, just for cost and longevity, just PDC to the house is the way you do it today. Once you get in the house, Pex is used throughout.
