David from Tomball says, wants to know your opinion of he says Coretec HD flooring. I looked into this. What it is, is a vinyl plank flooring.[display podcast]
Tom:
Oh, is that … Vinyl planks have been around a long time. They’re very popular. A lot of them are used in commercial, depending on their wearability and there are floors that if you look into the specifications, they’ll say if it’s commercial grade, heavy traffic, medium traffic, things like that, but people like them. If you have a good surface, Charlie, that’s nice and flat without any rolls and bumps, because it will mirror through, so you have to be real good on the prep. If you get the prep down, they’ll look fantastic. I’m all for it.
Charlie:
What you think is level, may not be level. When we bought this building for the studios, I thought, “Hey, this is awesome. We’ll just put vinyl …..well” We have 30 bags of leveling compound later.
Tom:
You do have to watch out. You can’t have anything … With vinyl as appose to some of the others, you have very little tolerance. Everything will mirror through.
