Podcast: Play in new window

Tom: It’s upgrade of roofing material. It comes in different styles. Most people in a home would use their coated metal to make it look like a slate where they have a bunch of different looks. Maybe go online, check it out and see how it appeals to you. It’s got to be put on the right house. If it doesn’t match well, it’s not worth the money. You can always talk to your roofer about it too. If you call ideal roofing that can certainly show you and walk you through how it goes on, the pricing and that kind of thing. It’s definitely an upgrade. It’s considered more of a lifetime roof where you only buy it once.
Charlie: It’s typically a commercial product.
Tom: Used a lot in commercial. For residential, everybody wants a piece of the pie too but it’s not going to be for everybody.
Charlie: There’s one other thing. I checked your HOA. It’s to give a sample.
Tom: Oh my …
Charlie: We had somebody in our neighborhood we lived once that put a nice tile roof on, had to have it taken off.
Tom: Oh my gosh.
Charlie: The HOA would not approve it. He just did it without asking so tread carefully. Those HOA people, they’ve nothing else to do.
Tom: Very nice. If they ask me to honest, I said, “I’m not going to do whatever they want.”
Charlie: They said, “Okay, you can’t be honest.”
Tom: You said, “No, I’m not old enough and I still have a  life.”
