My bathroom sink has a faucet that when the shower is turned on, it turns on by itself and vibrates. It can also happen if the master bathroom faucets are turned on which is odd. Sometimes to turn them off, when the handles are in the off position, it has to be lightly hit. Can you tell me what might be the cause and how to fix it? FYI faucets and spigot come out of the wall and not the counter-top.
Matt
Tom: You should not use any of the other faucets.
Charlie: Evil faucets.
Tom: It’s an annoying thing and it’s so simple. I’m surprised it doesn’t rattle some too … but the washers in that faucet need to be replaced. They’re worn. They start to vibrate. When you tap ’em, they’ll pop back in place. They’re not tightening down where they need to. When the pressure changes, it starts to rattle the washer. Call Abacus if you need to. Or if you know how to replace the washers, go ahead. But that’s all it is. Simple.
