Since I’ve already sprayed with Consan, should I use the Zinsser mold killing primer first and the Zinsser shellac primer on top of that?

Charlie: Mark in Clear Lake has our last question this morning. He says, “Should I use the Zinsser mold killing primer first and the Zinsser shellac primer on top of that? I’ve already sprayed with the Consan  per your recommendation.”

Tom: It wouldn’t hurt you, but I think it’s a redundancy you don’t need. The Consan or the mold killer in the Zinsser product, that’s what they both are. They’re mold killers and they’re bacterial killers and this and that. I like the idea of using the anti-bacterial sprays, taking care of what’s exposed there now, and then the pigmented shellac will make sure nothing can come through and any residual will be killed because it can’t breathe.
