Metal roof
Charlie: Jose in Brazoria says we have a building used for Knights of Columbus business and bingo, etc. Knights of Columbus.
Tom: Got to have the bingo.
Charlie: Knights of Columbus, bingo is in that one.
Tom: Must be Catholic.
Charlie: It’s one of those Catholic words, true. The roof is metal and after Harvey it’s leaking in places. So he wants to know your recommendation on getting it repaired. They had one company come out and they wanted to put a 25-millimeter aluminum coating on the roof. What do you think?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: I don’t know without knowing what the problem is. If it’s a seam, we’ve got to address the seams. Coating the whole roof because they can’t find the leak, I find that very odd. So I would probably get a second opinion and get a more detailed description of where the leak is happening instead of just saying hey, let’s put a coating over the whole thing. Maybe I don’t know.
Charlie: That’s right. I’ve got a scrape. We’ve got to put your arm in a cast.
Tom: Exactly. So, without any more information, the guy says yeah, I’ll go up there, I think I can coat the whole roof, that’s to me not the answer. I want to know what the leak is first. Ideal Roofing of course would be a good place to call and get someone with another set of eyes. It’s worth it before you spend a bunch of money.
