Evaporator coil and condenser size

In order to remove humidity, is the evaporator coil supposed to be smaller or larger than the condenser? By how much? I can’t remember what you have said. My downstairs unit condenser needs to be replaced. Should I resize the condenser to be either larger or smaller than the evaporator coil in-service?

Tom: I can’t tell you how much. Every brand is different, but it never goes larger. It always goes the same size or, in some cases, depending on the unit, it can go smaller but never larger. That’s the evaporator coil, would be the same size or smaller than the condensing coil and the unit which is on the outside of the house.
Charlie: It depends on the brand you say?
Tom: Yeah, and how they’re setting it up. What size house you have. What kind of humidity levels you’re dealing with. What you’re looking for is a 25 or greater degree drop across the coil. That squeezes the water out of the air.
