I heard you talking about a fresh air return. How do you install the dryer vent duct to the plenum and do you just place it near the soffit vent or do you cut a hole and mount it somehow?

Tom: Near the soffit vent is fine, we’ll start with the end first so you can lay it there. Even in a new home that’s what you do. When we’re doing new homes and putting in fresh air returns. You can just get a little collar and cut it into the … It is going to be a 4 inch collar that cuts into the plenum. The return air plenum. And it will just tie wrap onto that, or you can use some of that metal duct tape, that will work too. And when you say dryer duct, make sure its the lamoflex. Which is the silver foil one, not the plastic.
