Charlie: Diane in Stafford says she’s got crazy ants for the first time.
Tom: I am hearing a lot about that right now.
Charlie: Yeah, well I think it must have something to do with the moisture bringing them up or something.
Tom: Yeah, it took them a while to come back from the freeze.
Charlie: She says, “Will, Bengal kill them, what would you do? I just bought a bit and caught the tail-end and heard you talking about it.”
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: I’d try it, and I think it would if you could stand still long enough to take the medicine.
Charlie: The tricky thing about ants is it’s almost like spiders. It’s almost like you gotta get ’em on contact, right? Can they track through…
Tom: Well, you’ve gotta be where they are. I mean, spiders, they can ride right over the stuff that don’t hurt ’em.
Charlie: You gotta contact them.
Tom: But if you spray it here, they’re over there, it’s not gonna do any good. So you gotta find out exactly where they are and the crazy ants, I think we’re gonna see a lot of questions like that, Charlie, and might make for a video this year, I don’t know. But I have a feeling in August, it’s gonna be a lot of questions about it. It’s really bad when they get your bed, or your children’s bed.
Charlie: Yikey.
