Charlie:
That’s where Lou’s question appears next from Missouri City. He wrote to us at homeshowradio.com. His wife and he have a 13×16 screened in porch. It’s attached to their home and has a concrete floor. He says he’s interested in the floor covering that would be slip resistant. They’re not interest in the indoor outdoor carpet.
Tom:
Good choice.
Charlie:
What we are interested in is some type of tile or stone. What do you recommend?
By the way, he says the screen room has two sides screened, two sides are the original cement siding.

Tom:
You can use all kinds of different tile. Just go see Jason over at Texas Floors. There’s all kinds of textured tiles and stones. I prefer regular tile. I’m not a big stone fan. They take a lot more care. You can get tile that looks like the stone. As long as it has a texture, it’s not high gloss slippery, you’re fine.
Charlie:
Sure. Or what if he just had the Concepts and Concrete come out do something with that.
Tom:
He could do a texture. Make it look like tile.
Charlie:
Or make it look like stone. Or you can have stone that looks like tile. You can actually get wood that looks like tile that is really stone. You can get all kinds of stuff today. Texture would be good. Tile would be good. It’s always that texture that keeps it from being slippery.
