Charlie: Bob in Corpus Christi. My neighbor, he says, is replacing his clay tile roof. My house has a black soot like dust all over inside and out now. He’s wondering, is this being generated by the contractor replacing his roof?
Tom: His house is full of dust with a roof replacement?
Charlie: He says, my house now has black soot like dust, he says.
Tom: I don’t know. Maybe. Usually when you get black soot in a house, it’s from burning candles.
Charlie: Oh.
Tom: That is the number one cause of that sooty mess.
Charlie: Yeah, but he says it’s inside and out though.
Tom: That’s what I mean, in this case, maybe I don’t, I’ve never heard of such a thing.
Charlie: Could he be burning candles outside too?
Tom: Maybe his neighbors. They know something. It’s the second coming. I don’t know.
Charlie: All kidding aside.
Tom: I don’t know, but it very well could be.
Charlie: Would a clay roof generate soot when you’re changing it out?
Tom: I’ve never heard such a thing.
Charlie: Me neither.
Tom: I’ve never heard such a thing, so I cannot comment. I’m stumped. Okay. Carnack, does not know.
Charlie: Dunno. That’s what I’m going to send back to him, D-U-N-N-O.
Tom: Okay.
Charlie: All right. I’m sorry Bob.
