One of the biggest questions I get, and most frequent questions I get, is, what’s the difference between Generac and Kohler? There’s a lot of difference between the two, but at the end of the day, they’re both going to do the job as long as they’re installed properly and maintained right.
Generac has a little bit more variety as far as sizes. You can get anywhere from a 14 to an 18, 22, 24, 26, and their new 28kW air-cooled unit is being released very, very soon as well. All their new models are going to include the hydraulic lifters, so that’s definitely a huge plus in Generac’s favor, and I will say Generac’s customer service and their parts availability is absolutely phenomenal.
Now, Kohler, on the other hand, is another very well-known brand, and that’s for a good reason. They’re an excellent company with a lot of good equipment. They make some really, really good engines here. They are going to be a little bit more on the pricier side. But whichever generator brand you choose, call us anytime, and we can help you walk through both different brands, different generator style, sizes, air-cooled versus liquid-cooled, the whole nine yards.
