I built my house 22 years ago and it has aluminum siding under the eaves and above the brick. The nails are backing out and it looks old. What is the best replacement? I keep hearing “Hardie Board”.

Tom’s Answer:
Tom: No, no, Hardie. Soffit, Fasia, they make it all, and once you put it on, you’ll never have to ask this question again. It’s amazing how the show has changed. We mentioned earlier, jokingly, how many years we’ve been on. It used to be every other question, rotten siding, peeling paint. It doesn’t exist on the show any more because of Hardie, period.
Charlie: You bet, and especially, not just the siding, but the whole package. The Soffit, the Fasia, the whole nine yards.
Tom: Yeah, I mentioned earlier, they even have crown mold, which isn’t like a big seller, but it’s still to me absolutely outstanding that they sent from this 9″ siding to where you can buy crown too.
Charlie: They’ve got a new product coming out that we’re going to talk about, but not right now.
Tom: Right.
Charlie: A new siding product.
Tom: It’s a sign. They always have something fun to deal with.
Charlie: We’ll talk about that in the coming weeks.
Tom: Yes, and we can’t tell the people now, can we?
Charlie: Oh, no, no, no. That’s it.
Tom: Fine.
Charlie: Hey, boys and girls in radio land. That’s what we call a tease.
