Many years ago, you provided the ingredients for an “Antique Reviving Recipe;” I know it’s boiled linseed oil & mineral spirits, but I forgot the proportions.
Thanks in advance,
Richard
Tom: Two parts mineral spirits. Don’t boil it. Don’t say that. Somebody did that once and almost blew their face off.
Charlie: That’s true. All right.
Tom: Two parts mineral spirits, one part boiled linseed oil. You buy it that way. It says it on the can. You use four aught steel wool. If you use a rag, like you spill some or you wipe down some excess with a rag, when you’re done with it that rag can smolder, so what you do is you saturate it in water, put it in a zip log bag, and throw it away.
