Charlie:
In Rosharon, Nathan is asking about his air filters. He says, “I purchased one of those 3M filters, the every three month change one,” and he’s wondering, his house is new construction, and he used to use the filters every month in his older house. How often should he be changing these?

Tom:
Sometimes, even those three month filters are every month. If you have animals, if you have smokers, if you have a lot of children, sometimes you can just look at them and tell they’re dirty. When they’re dirty they need to be replaced. The rule of thumb with those types of filters is every 60 to 90 days depending on your lifestyle. 30 days is probably a little soon unless you have big dogs, and they will tear a filter up.
