Hi, my name is Colten with Gentek USA and today we’re going to be talking about maintenance on an air-cooled generator. So this right here is a 26 KW Generac. It’s a really great unit. This application goes towards most homes. It’ll power most whole homes. It’s a full backup standby generator system.
So with these generators, you want to get them serviced at least once a year, sometimes twice a year, depending on your run time. And you need a certified technician to do that to ensure it stays under warranty and the system’s ready to run at all times. What our maintenance consists of is a full thirty-point inspection of the generator, the ATS, the whole nine yards. We also come out, we’ll change your oil filter, the oil itself will come out. We’ll change these spark plugs for you. And we’ll change out this air filter as well right here. And then if there’s any error codes or anything like that, we’ll check your battery, the whole nine yards. You’ll be completely good to go.
