Charlie: Denise in Tomball has our final question. During her Hardie install, a siding crew, which will remain nameless, did caulk joints, but left the bottom of the siding open where it meets the bricks. Well, a painter came along behind and calked the entire bottom edge, and she says, “I understood this is bad due to the potential for moisture getting behind the siding and not having anywhere to got.” The painter says, “Don’t worry. It’s okay.” What say you?

Tom: I agree with the painter. Don’t worry it. If that much water’s getting behind the siding, we got to go back to the siding guys and figure out “Who left the hole?” It’s more cosmetic. If it looks good, I’m good.
Charlie: All right.
