Charlie: Debbie has our question next from Memorial. She says, “How do I vent my garage to remove some of the heat?”

It’s attached to the house, Tom, and it’s finished with drywall in the ceiling and the walls. Is there an effective way to vent that garage?
Tom: Well, you can always put a wall fan in that works on a thermostat. It can turn on. It can blow air in. If it’s all closed up, and you’re blowing air out, and you’re not bringing any in, you could be in trouble. So, you’ve got to have an intake and an outtake. But, the bottom line is this, and we’re going to get this question more and more, and after being outside yesterday at around 4:00 in the afternoon, I think it’s going to come sooner than later.
How come my garage is so hot? Well, your house would be that hot if you didn’t have air conditioning. If you really want to cool your house … In fact, Rick from Absolute Comfort Air is coming over to my house on Wednesday, and he’s going to put an old, what I would consider new for me, but an old air conditioning condenser on my system out there in my garage so I can cool it off.
Charlie: Wait a minute. Hold on. He just took two old ones from behind my building. He’s not giving you one of mine, is he?
Tom: Yes.
Charlie: I should have known.
Tom: Actually, no, but maybe. I haven’t asked him. It might not work, so …
Charlie: Yeah. They took ours back to the shop. They said they may be able to use it for parts or something, or whatever because they’re great at keeping old systems going.
Tom: These guys, I’ll tell you what. They’re hoarders. All guys in the industry are hoarders and they can take those old units, and they can keep them running for 175 years. Don’t let them fool you.
