Charlie: Skip in Montgomery County is first in line here, looking at purchasing a home that a prior owner had with a dog and can you tell what can be done to get rid of the dog smells of that now departed dog?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom: Well, to help the dog didn’t die in the house…. If that were the case it’s hydrogen peroxide.
Charlie: Here’s a match and …
Tom: I mean if it’s really nasty carpet and stuff and it’s in the padding, you gotta pull all that out and throw it away. It’s like a small, probably the dog’s name was Harvey, it’s like a small flood, you’ve gotta get rid of the carpet. But you can have the tile professionally cleaned. You can use a neutralizer, it’s for animals you can get them at the big pet stores and they will have, the same neutralizers, the same products they use in veterinarian clinics, so, there are products that do neutralize everything but if you’re trying to save carpet and it’s down in the pad, that’s all gotta get thrown away.
