Charlie:
Allan, in Seibert, has another smell question.
Tom:
Oh, gosh.
Charlie:
This one, I think, is easier for you to answer.
Tom:
Okay.
Podcast: Play in new window
Charlie:
Allan says that, “We have a sewer smell coming from our bathroom sink.”
Tom:
Everybody loves to use that sewer. At least the last one was maple syrup.
Charlie:
I told you this is easier. “The water stinks,” he says, “but if you run the water 5 minutes, the smell goes away. This happens every day, no matter what.”
Tom:
It’s the water reacting with the pipes and the faucet. Water has so many metals and different things in it, if it sits there a little while, it can go sour a little bit, and when you turn it on, it just has to blast out, that little bit, until you get the water moving and get a fresher water coming through.
Charlie:
The solution might be?
Tom:
There really isn’t. You could have filters. You can have it tested. You could have a water conditioner on there; it might solve the problem. Someone like AquaTex could probably come out and see if they can do something about it. Today’s water is so bad, that’s why we recommend, with AquaTex, to filter, filter, filter before you drink.
