Charlie:
Ginger in Livingston says, “I’m thinking of installing something called the Pelican Water Softener Purifying System.” Have you ever heard of this thing, Tom?
Podcast: Play in new window
Tom:
No.
Charlie:
She wants to keep space under her sink free, and have pure water in her house throughout.
Tom:
Sounds like a filter that goes on the outside of the house. If she doesn’t want under her sink free. Under the sink, I guess she’s assuming … I’m assuming it’s a reverse osmosis she doesn’t want to put under there for drinking.
Charlie:
Which if you look at the size of the K5 Aquatex, it’s so small. It’s not …
Tom:
It’s awesome, but a whole house filter, filters so much water. The maintenance on them get really expensive, because it’s probably a tenth of what you actually drink and use for cooking. Usually, whole house filter, unless you have a sediment issue from a lake water or something, it’s usually not worth doing.
Charlie:
So, we would say call Aquatex and ask about that K5.
Tom:
Yeah. You don’t even have to put it under your kitchen sink. It can be put somewhere else.
Charlie:
It’s so beautiful, you might want to put it on the kitchen counter.
Tom:
I don’t know about that.
