Grouting my shower.

I cut out a one piece shower/tub and will install only a tub. I want to tile in the walls then for the shower. Do I need a mesh or screen on my Hardy backing for the rule mortar? Also, is there a special type grout needed for showers or can I use a sanded grout/sealer combo like I did on the floor?

Tom: No, you can go ahead and set the tile right to the hardie.
Charlie: Okay, and what about a special type of grout? What grout does it use?
Tom: Just grout. Use non-sanded if the grout joints are 1/8th of an inch or smaller, and sanded grout is it’s 1/8th of an inch or bigger.
Charlie: So an 1/8th of an inch or less
Tom: Is non sanded.
Charlie: Non sanded
Tom: Right. Then, if it gets bigger, like bigger tiles, then you use the sanded grout.
