The innie outie

Tom,

The aerator has broken off in bathroom sink faucet. There’s nothing exposed to grab onto from the outside. Any suggestions short of buying a new faucet?

Thanks,

Steve

Tom: Well, if it’s just the ring, the threads that are broken up in there, there’s a little tool called the innie outie.
Charlie: No.
Tom: Yes, it is, and it goes in there and it expands and you unscrew what those little bits of threads that are up in there. It’s a great tool you need probably three times in your entire life but it’s very inexpensive. If he can get something up in there and it’s just the threads, then there’s a ring of threads in there that he can get it out with that.
