Leaking galvanized pipes

Hey Tom,

I’m tired of leaking galvanized pipes. Should I repipe or coat? I’m thinking about pex pipe.

Tom: I’m going to give my standard answer. It is if you are going to be remodeling your entire home and all the walls are going to be opened up then yeah, go ahead. I guess call a plumber and have him redo all the pipes, and the electrical, and everything. Just like you’re doing with your kitchen Charlie. You bust it all open and you redo everything.
Charlie: Mm-hmm (affirmative), true.
Tom: If you like the way your home is call Texas Drain Technology, have them do the re-pipe system, and I think it’ll just be a lot easier on you, your family, and it works.
